Description
===========

Grimbots DLC Spell Tomes is a book jacket mod for DLCSpellTomes. You MUST have DLCSpellTomes to use this mod.

The fun of the DLCSpell Tomes mod is that your mage character can learn spells from loot books rather than just buying spells from a vendor. Unfortunately, with only the stock vanilla book jackets, you never get the feeling that youve found something unique and special.

These books have been sitting in chests and crates and barrels. Sometimes theyve been underground or sitting in a floating crate for how long? Months? Centuries? Well, now each unique spell tome and each spell effect has at least one brand new book jacket. Youve got a chance of finding everything from common published spell tomes that have been recently circulating in Cyrodiil to the ancient crumbling grimoires of Daedra worshippers and the vile Sload.

Ive tried to include a little something for everyone, so there are books by famous (and not so famous) mages from other TES games and lore. All of the books are lore friendly, and while many of them are dirt-crusted, water-stained, burned, and battered, you might just find a few near-mint gems in the containers of Cyrodiil. Most books contain some sort of easter egg or are meant to be otherwise fun, amusing, or generally cool-looking.

Included are:

Over 70 unique book jackets for your Spell Tomes

Variety spanning from arcane to bizarre, from holy to heretical, from gorgeous to grotesque

Lore-friendly jackets featuring familiar names and other lore easter-eggs.

Collectible book sets including:
5 volumes of Raminus Polus ubiquitous Sensible Magicka Series
3 volumes of the classic Collected Wisdom of Galerion
5 volumes of the coveted Telvanni Art of War Magic
3 volumes of the esoteric Book of Nine Holy Hells
3 volumes of the creepy Black Secrets from the Un-Stars
3 volumes of ancient Dwemer elemental shield tomes

Icons for all of the above

So go, ye mages! Go plunder! And even if youre not a mage you might find that these literary treasures are now worth more than meets the eye. Or at least as much.

Superhuge up-front thanks to:

Gothic251 for fixing all of my blunders and actually making this thing PLAYABLE.
Cheers to you, Gothic!

Conflicts
=========

Since this is just a texture replacer it shouldn't conflict with anything. I hope. I think its also compatible with Darnified UI and most book placement mods. You tell me.

Future
======
This is the second (and Daedra willing largest) installment of my DLC book jackets.

I admittedly did not create a jacket for every spell tome. Were I to do that, youd be looking at a file four or five times as large as this one. I did my best to get a lot of variety in and make sure that books that are supposed to be more rare or more special got a unique cover all their own. That being said, its pretty hard for me to thoroughly test this mod. Youve got hundreds of tomes and over 70 new book jackets, so Im going to leave it to you guys to report to me if I screwed anything up. Let me know if you end up with 60 copies of a particular cover or if anything else is wrong.

Other than that Im done with this one. And good riddance!
